Global Astronomy Month 2021

Astronomers Without Borders'

Global Astronomy Month 2021 was a celebration online once more. With many countries still in lock down or under strict gathering mandates, Astronomers Without Borders helped by making many activities on social media and on our website.

We were so excited to have guests from the Easter Island to talk about cultural astronomy there. We also welcomed a new program that featured our community suggesting astronomical heritage sites.

New to our AWB family was The Cosmic Savannah that provided podcasts through out the month that highlighted some of their most popular shows of the year.

As usual, our partners at International Asteroid Search Campaign, Globe at Night, International Dark Skies Association, Astronomical League contributed their informative and participatory projects.
