The World at Night (TWAN) goes live!

 The World at Night (TWAN) goes live! An image of Mars and Orion above Monument Valley in the western USA is the featured image on NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day for 25 December 2007. This image was created by Wally Pacholka, a member of TWAN’s dedicated team of photographers. Combining the Earth and sky in single images and time-lapse sequences, the TWAN team is capturing the night sky from locations around the world.
