Astronomers Without Borders named Organizational Node of International Year of Astronomy 2009.

Astronomers Without Borders has been named an Organizational Node of the International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IAY2009) , an initiative of the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This unprecedented worldwide initiative is organizing a myriad of activities to highlight the importance of astronomy to everyone. Astronomers Without Borders will collaborate on projects that bring participants from different countries together.
