Hi everyone:  I've just opened up this topic so that we can talk about the AWB Remote Observing program. This program will launch on Sep 22, with an event hosted by Dr. Gianluca Masi of the Virtual Telescope (see here for information about how to register and take part in this event).

I think there are lots of things we can discuss.  For the Sep 22 event, what objects would you like to see?  What are you hoping to get from this event?  Would AWB groups like to connect with each other during the event?  Do you have questions about how the event will work, and what you will see?  More broadly, are you excited about an ongoing remote observing program?  What features would you like this to have?  For example, it's possible for AWB groups to control remote telescopes and carry out their own observing programs, in collaboration with other groups.  What kinds of programs would your group do with a remote telescope?

So take it away everyone, and let's get some good discussion going!

Dear All,

as Terry said, we are very close to leave for this journey!

We are still receiving requests for joining and we also welcome suggestions, comments and ideas to make the experience as much enjoyable as possible.

If there is a place up there you would like to share, this is the right time! Just let us know and we will include it in our exploration.

Looking forward to see you in two days,

Gianluca
