Global Astronomy Month 2012 is over!

Global Astronomy Month (GAM) each April is the world's largest global celebration of astronomy since the unprecedented International Year of Astronomy 2009.

GAM 2012 brought new ideas and new opportunities, again bringing enthusiasts together worldwide to celebrate Astronomers Without Borders motto One People, One Sky.

Program Schedule

Global Astronomy Month 2012 programs covered a broad range of activities. Observing through telescopes in person and remotely over the Internet, special live astronomy-related performances for visually-impaired and sighted alike, photography and astropoetry, classroom activities and contest - there were programs for all. Enthusiasts joined from around the world in celebrating astronomy and the beauty of observing the sky under Astronomers Without Borders' motto One People, One Sky.
