My North Star, hid by
Blue sky, cloud, or murky night --
Incredibly there.

Loki, Dynamicist

By Michele Bannister, Australia.

I wrought the nets that cage the finflicks of strange attractors,
incite the end of all scattered planets, fireflung into frost:
this rime that rims the outer worlds
owes all care to all my computation; the more bodies I add the better
though always it lacks neatly-nailed resolution.

Tower Chindia was built in the 15th century in Targoviste and belonged for
a while to Vlad Tepes (the Impaler) Draculea, a Romanian ruler, a knight of
justice and a hero of Christianity, who, through nocturnal attacks, forced
the army of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II (who had conquered Constantinople
in 1453) to retreat from the Romanian Land in 1462.

Later, Western commercial interests transformed Vlad Tepes Draculea into a
vampire called Dracula.

Winter bet with spring and lost.
So, here comes the vernal equinox.
It smells like spring.
It feels like peace.
