In the end of 2012 the Moon, surrounded by a corona and in conjunction with Jupiter, appeared like a Christmas gift over the Targoviste Cathedral (which was created in the 1400s and rebuilt in the 1890s, and represented one of the most significant Christian centres of Romanian spirituality, threatened for 5 centuries by the Ottoman Empire).
